About the Opportunity

This PHENOMENAL aerospace company is looking for an AWESOME manufacturing engineer to join their ranks. They have slowly grown over the last 20 years and recently partnered with our recruiting firm to help fill several key positions as they undergo an unprecedented level of growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop technical manufacturing options for multiple systems and products.
  • Perform product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement and efficiency.
  • Manufacturing engineer works with production teams to quickly identify and resolve manufacturing process and product performance issues affecting productivity, first pass yield, and on time delivery using a fact based, data-oriented approach.
  • Participate with failure investigation teams.
  • Maintain relationships with 3rd party vendors.
  • Manufacturing engineer will help lead cross functional teams to develop & implement new manufacturing processes in support of new products.
  • Must understand geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), blueprint reading and cost breakdowns.
  • Must have experience and track record of working well with team members.
  • Mechanical engineers must be able to read, interpret, and create technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
  • Provide input to estimating department.
  • Follow company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering (or another applicable field)
  • 3-5 years of hands on experience within a recognized aerospace and defense industry quality systems (ISO, AS)
  • Strong communication skills; able to organize and process technical information and maintain records
  • Must have experience or ability to learn Solidworks

Compensation

  • $80,000 - $110,000 (negotiable, based on experience). Bonus structure%3D 10% of salary
