Agriculture Loan Officer in Oakes, ND at GPAC

Job Description

A local community bank is looking for an Agriculture Loan Officer in the Oakes/Lamoure area to manage and grow an existing portfolio. The Agriculture Loan Officer position requires a minimum of 4 years' experience in Ag Lending and strong new business development skills. Candidates must have a solid understanding of the banking industry and the underwriting process, and a very strong understanding of the local agriculture.

Responsibilities for the Agriculture Loan Officer:

• Manage a loan portfolio
• Work with ag borrowers for new and renewal loan requests
• Perform credit analysis/underwriting and structure loan requests
• Ensure customers' financial needs are taken care of in full
• Work in sync with support staff and executive management

Job Requirements for the Agriculture Loan Officer:

• Minimum of 4 years as an Agriculture Loan Officer preferred
• Lesser experienced candidates will be considered if one has ties to the area and ag roots
• Bachelor's degree in Ag, Ag Econ, Ag Business, Finance or related fields or current ag lending experience
• Relationship building and management skills
• Understand and apply risk management policy and procedures
• Underwriting/Credit Analysis background preferred
• Agricultural background is very important - ties to and familiarity with the ag economy in Southeast ND is very important
