Job Description

Commercial Insurance Account Manager will be responsible for the following:

    • Position requires direct interaction with Producers, Account Mangers/Account Executives and Insurance Company Underwriters, as well as the Dep't Manager. Candidate will provide and maintain service and support of active prospects for producers in processing all lines of property & casualty insurance.
    • Manage day to day account transactions and insureds' and underwriters' questions or requests including additions/deletions of vehicles, property acquisitions, exposure changes, with intensive client interaction. Prepares Certificates of Insurance, Accord Binders, and Placement Requests
    • Management of the account life cycle: pre-renewal, renewal, post renewal, stewardship and visiting client as needed
    • Manage receipt, review and forward invoices, policies, endorsements and other documents as necessary
    • Prepare written correspondence, reports and analysis as needed and document all correspondence by attaching it into EPIC
    • Work with and assist clients on aged receivables, and accounting department in the reconciliation of client accounts
    • Evaluate existing coverages and make recommendations as needed. Present quotes to clients including recommendations for enhancing the insurance program.
    • Round out accounts as opportunities arise.
    • Conduct pre-renewal internal and external meetings, gather renewal exposure information from the client and loss data from past carriers.
    • Market to incumbent carriers and coordinate alternative quotes with Producer &/or Dep't Manager, with the objective of obtaining competitive coverage's and premiums for the client.
    • Perform other specific duties and projects as requested from time to time

Qualifications:

  • Property & Casualty Insurance license required
  • Minimum 5 + years independent agency or retail broker experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of commercial lines coverage & rating
  • Experience with various carriers and working directly with their underwriters
  • Experience utilizing online rating software and various insurance carrier online systems
  • EPIC software experience.
