Community Association Manager

A leading urban residential and commercial community developer in the Seattle Area is looking to immediately hire a Community Association Manager. The Community Association Manager provides management, direction and leadership to ensure the buildings are maintained and operated in accordance with company objectives and standards. They will enforce compliance with the rules and regulations relative to the operation, use and occupancy of the property and must maintain a cordial and professional relationship with owners, residents, contractors, vendors and employees. Work may require a flexible schedule in order to meet the needs of the communities and development team and can be on-call 24-hours a day, 7-days a week, to supervise operational issues and emergencies. CMCA certification (or the ability to obtain CMCA), strong management, customer service and time-management skills are required.

Community Association Manager Core Responsibilities Include:

  • Serve as a liaison between Management and Board of Directors. Facilitate procedures and ensure that policies are carried out.
  • Assist Owners/Residents with their needs and requests regarding the community and serve as a liaison between Owners/Residents and the Board.
  • Coordinate and attend Board meetings. Give the Board guidance when appropriate and work closely with them to manage and operate the community and facilitate solutions.
  • Provide assistance in financial management, administration, policies and procedures, property infrastructure, organization, litigation processes, property collections, maintenance and mechanical procedures.
  • Coordinate and attend annual budget meetings with the Board and management representative.
  • Provide recommendations and observations to improve the property.
  • Maintain development properties which includes routine checks to ensure the buildings are safe and secure and landscape maintenance is being performed on a regular basis.
  • Negotiate contracts and bids with third parties. Supervise and review quality of services provided to the Association by contractors and vendors. Maintain files for all correspondence, bids, repair orders and maintenance records.
  • Prepare a preventative maintenance schedule for the Board of Directors and updates when requested.

Community Association Manager Education and Experience

  • CMCA certification required (or the ability to obtain CMCA) with AMS and PCAM preferred
  • 3+ years Community Association Management experience required
