We've recently partnered with a growing manufacturing company who is ready to hire a new Director of Operations. This is a great opportunity to work for stable company with great benefits.

The VP of Operations is charged with overseeing the operations of a local manufacturing company. This role involves directing all aspects of production, operations, machinery maintenance, safety, efficiency, operational conformance, product quality, and continuous improvement. We are looking for a process-oriented leader who thrives in a fast paced, dynamic environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assess and train supervisors and employees on full-cycle production processes.
  • Inspect, analyze and recommend ways of improving quality and efficiency in production activities.
  • Supervise and monitor the execution of all production activities.
  • Ensure highest quality of handling, processing and storage of production materials.
  • Manage production schedules, work instructions and production inventories.
  • Manage & develop production team
  • Understand and provide leadership support for a high-end safety and secure environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all Company policies, as well as all Federal, State and Local OSHA regulations.
  • Coordinate repairs for equipment. Perform month end inventory and cycle counts to ensure physical inventories reconcile.
  • Participate in planning personnel safety and plant protection activities.

REQUIREMENTS

  • A Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineer preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive management experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and facilitate cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability of managing cost performance, supply/demand forecasting and distribution execution.
  • Demonstrated ability of bringing new products to a commercial scale.
  • Experience interacting with R&D Specialists
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Previous manufacturing experience
