JOB DESCRIPTION

One of my best cleints is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to join their cohesive team! This is an awesome opportunity to be a key player on a world class OEM team!

QUALIFICATION/SKILLS:

    • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited engineering program.
    • Must have multiple years of experience working in the following programming languages/coding methods: C, C++, C#, ladder logic, and structured text.
    • Must have multiple years of experience working with PCB design and layout software.
    • Advanced-level ability to read, modify and create electrical schematics.
    • Experience designing motion control systems with encoders.
    • Experience designing motor control systems using servo, induction, and stepper motors.
    • Experience using vision hardware in an industrial application (highly desired).
    • Experience using robotics in assembly or material handling application (highly desired).
    • Demonstrate strong skills in:
      • Oral communication
      • Creation of technical documentation and use of a PDM system
      • Conversion of electric power to mechanical power
      • Control of pneumatic and hydraulic components
      • Sensor selection / application of standard instrumentation
    • Ability to work:
      • With minimal supervision
      • Independently, as well as on a team
      • Effectively under pressure
    • Must be willing and able to travel occasionally (domestic and international).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Design machine controls and provide engineering design support for multiple product lines of food processing machinery/equipment to include cost estimation, feasibility, manufacturability, etc.
    • Design and routing of wire harnesses, power cables, and signal wires within a machine.
    • Design vision systems for use in food processing applications.
    • Use of Solidworks, PDMVault, and Visio to capture electrical component and schematics designs.
    • Use of MS Visual Studio and MPLab for creating software for PCB and networking applications.
    • Design of PLC based machine control hardware and programming using Twincat and RSlogix.
    • Design and implementation of safety systems on equipment.
    • Design and implementation of sensor systems for data acquisition.
    • Maintenance of PCB design and layout files.
    • Participate in or lead Engineering projects and project teams.
    • Participate in new product development activities and projects.
    • Develop technical manuals, procedures, etc.
