Job Description

Gpac is partnered with a stable and well-respected agriculture company based in the state of Maryland in their search for a Fertilizer Plant Manager. The Plant Manager will have the opportunity to be involved in the day-to-day operations of a fertilizer blending facility.T his company prides themselves on customer service and providing top products to their customers.

This is a great opportunity for a candidate in a supervisory role to advance their career! Would be located in Western Maryland.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the day-to-day operations for a liquid chemical & fertilizer plant
  • Accountable for the safety and supervision of 20 plus employees
  • Review materials that are shipped to facility
  • Handle logistics for the location
  • Scheduling/dispatching applicators, production scheduling , schedule deliveries
  • Maintain state and federal regulations
  • Oversee P&L, budgeting, and capital expenditures

Background Requirements:

  • Bachelors or Associates degree in Agriculture base major; or general agriculture experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of fertilizer blending experience; or agronomy operations experience
  • 2-3 years of agricultural or commercial manufacturing experience
  • Proven management and leadership skills
  • Experience or previous knowledge of agricultural business
  • Understand liquid chemical or fertilizer blending processes
  • Knowledge of State and Federal regulations
  • General maintenance experience

Compensation/Benefits:

  • $70,000-$100,000 base salary, depending on experience
  • Performance Bonus Potential
  • Health, 401k, Vacation days
