Job Description

Responsible for ensuring the compliant implementation of new Partners across many vertical markets, including, but not limited to, prepaid cards, debit cards, Banking-as-a-Service, and other digital services. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring products comply with all applicable regulatory and Sunrise Banks requirements, to remain current on all applicable regulations and Network rules to ensure program/product compliance. This position will report to the Chief Compliance Officer and work closely with the Bank's Chief Fintech Strategy Officer, Operations, Compliance, and BSA Departments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Primary responsibility is the review of new Fintech partners through the Banking-as-a-Service platform(s) to ensure products comply with necessary compliance & BSA/AML rules and regulations.
  • Work in a collaborative and positive manner with Partners and other Bank staff to provide quality service while ensuring compliance and BSA/AML requirements are met.
  • Review of new partner policies and procedures, account agreements, disclosures, statements, and other documentation necessary to ensure compliance.
  • Through and complete documentation of all new Partner implementations
  • Assist in, and in part, participate in any audit or exam requests pertaining to compliance and BSA/AML implementation
  • Track issues identified throughout the Partner implementation and provide guidance to remediate the tasks identified in a manner commensurate with Bank risk tolerance.
  • May present written and oral compliance and BSA reports to management or board committees.
  • Works with the Chief Compliance Officer, Compliance Manager, and BSA Manager in a change management capacity to ensure that all applicable compliance programs and disparate guidance are revised pursuant to any regulatory changes, procedural changes, and/or new product or service offerings.
  • Provide complete and thorough summaries of new Partners and products to Compliance & BSA Managers to ensure the proper transition of Partner/product to the oversight team.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • 4 Year college degree in business-related field preferred.
  • 3 years bank regulatory compliance experience required.
  • 4 years Fintech experience preferred.
  • Superior skill set in the use of Microsoft products.
  • Expert problem solver that can develop solutions for client needs
  • Consensus builder that can collaborate with the Sales and Operations Team
  • Excellent communicator of complex topics
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire people to action through their influence.
