Purpose:

The Industrial Waste Specialist (IWS) will be a highly experienced and proven professional responsible for applying aggressive sales strategies to secure containerized waste accounts for their assigned branch territory. The IWS will work solely in the manufacturing / industrial sector and will be expected to perform at a high level of production. Continuous industrial waste growth within assigned territory will be key to this position. The IWS will be provided with a car allowance and is expected to drive their personal vehicle as part of this role until a point in which a company vehicle is made available.

Specific Duties:
* Responsible for engaging in and promoting safe work behaviors in a manner that is consistent with safety guidelines
* Targets small, medium, and large sized waste generators within territory and aggressively work to secure business
* Responsible for customer service and new industrial business development in a certain geographic area as assigned by the Company
* Pursues additional waste services with existing accounts
* Perform field tests and proper sampling of various waste streams at customer sites as needed
* Work directly with field sales representatives as needed to coordinate approval and pickup of approved waste streams.
* Complete all required paperwork accurately and neatly
* Adhere to all corporate policies and standards including but not limited to environmental, health, & safety (EHS), human resources, facility, equipment, operations and maintenance.
* Performs other related duties as assigned


Position Qualification Requirements:

Core Competencies and Specific Skills:
* Strong communication skills and attention to detail
* Ability to interact with customers, sales branch employees, and other corporate departments
* Ability to operate equipment such as electronic mobile devices, computers, office equipment, etc.
* Ability to increase sales and foster growth in the industrial sector.
* Proven knowledge, performance, & competency of waste characterization, profiling, and sales.


Work Experience:
* Industrial sales experience required
* Proven successful sales record
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Access)

Education, Certificates, Licenses, or Designations:
* High School Diploma or equivalent required
* Ability to obtain TWIC/rapid gate/port pass preferred



Physical Requirements*:
* All applicants must pass the pre-hire physical including drug & alcohol screening
