MANUFACTURING ENGINEER - ROBOTICS

Our client is a progressive independent manufacturer that is debt free widely recognized in the AG industry. This stable company has been in business since 1940.They offer a work hard/play hard environment with room to grow.

The Robotics Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for the support, development and effectiveness of robotic manufacturing processes, design of fixtures and programming. This position will be located near Sioux City IA

Position summary of the Robotics Manufacturing Engineer:

Develop robotic fixturing and assist in the training of robotic welders and programming.

Key accountabilities of the Robotics Manufacturing Engineer:

  • Write robotic weld programs using GMAW that meets the companies weld and other specifications.
  • Schedule robotic equipment preventive maintenance with suppliers and or internal maintenance personal.
  • Make changes to current robotic programs to continuously improve quality and through put.
  • Gather and track information such as downtime, available capacity and PM compliance.
  • Train other personal such as machine operators, and maintenance personal how to safety operate robotic equipment.
  • Other task assigned by ME manager.

Educational Experience of the Robotics Manufacturing Engineer:

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Experience in welding, robotic welding and/or programming automated or CNC controlled equipment.
  • Have the ability to read welding blue prints or other related welding specifications.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and short correspondence.

Job competencies of the Robotics Manufacturing Engineer:

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in metric and standard units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to convert standard units of measure to metric and metric to standard.
  • Lead with safety in every aspect of the job.
  • Attendance is critical to the success of this position.

  • Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling can be expected.
