MANUFACTURING ENGINEER

This aggressive Manufacturing Company is searching for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to lead technical efforts for all of their metal fabrication processes. The main focus for this innovative Manufacturing Engineer will be metal fabrication, involving, processing and torch programming, forming, welding, paint/assembly . You will need to be fast-paced, and calm and collective handling a number of projects.

This company is unique in that the Managmement Team reconize the Manufacturing Engineers are the "go to" people as they are responsible for drawings, customer contact, material procurement, scheduling, material utilization, and quality.

Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for the identification, development and implementation of process improvement initiatives and strategies for competitive operations and quality improvement using Lean methodology.
  • Ensure follow-up initiatives and programs are completed and are providing gains
  • Collaborate with customers on their design and fellow Manufacturing Engineers
  • Firm understanding of SigmaNest (torch nesting programs)
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Standards

Manufacturing Engineer Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical or industrial preferred)
  • 5+ years' experience in a manufacturing setting (including welding) using continuous improvement
  • Experience in LEAN manufacturing processes
  • Sigma Nest knowledege
