This position will assist in the direction and organization of mechanical engineering activities of new dairy processing facility. Responsibilities:

• Plan, develop, and implement projects and methods to optimize utilization of plant and equipment

• Develop and utilizes written plans, CAD and conventional drawings, cost comparisons, estimates, project scopes consistent with directives and objectives of plant management

• Coordinate and direct equipment requirements and project activities of contract, vendor and plant personnel

• Comply with federal, state and local safety and environmental regulations.

• Identify, analyze and recommend actions to correct design and process failures

• Evaluate economics of proposals and projects to prepare RFE's and forecast capital requirements

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical , Chemical, or Industrial Engineering

• 5 or more years of progressive responsibility in a dairy processing engineering capacity

• Dairy or liquid processing and ammonia refrigeration expereince

• Familiar with CAD to develop detailed engineering drawings and maintains computerized and manual files of output

• Leadership experience

• Excellent communication skills with internal and external customers

• Knowledge of current compliance and regulatory laws

• Strong organizational skills
