Job Description

One of the area's most reputable MEP Engineering Consulting Firms is currently seeking an experienced Mechanical/Plumbing Systems Designer to join their Phoenix, AZ office. This consulting and engineering firm specializes in the design of Mechanical, Plumbing, Electrical and Technology sytems, with a 60+ year history of providing reliable and energy efficient design solutions for various building types, such as: University, K-12, Mission Critical, Laboratories, Healthcare, Aviation and Commercial Buildings.

In this role, you will perform as a critical design team member in mechanical/plumbing systems development and coordination for construction design projects. This position requires interaction with the firm's project team members as well as architects, consultants, clients and contractors.

Duties/responsibilities:

  • Apply strong technical design skills and knowledge to produce accurate and timely project deliverables
  • Design projects in Revit and AutoCAD for compliance with city, state and national building codes, AHSRAE, NFPA, IBC, LEED, etc.
  • Provide leadership to share your knowledge with other design staff.
  • Coordinate and perform construction administration tasks internally and externally, enabling successful project execution.
  • Develop mechanical/plumbing construction design documents.

Positon Requirements:

  • 7+ year's of mechanical/plumbing design excperience.
  • Ability to perform Trane Trace Load Calculations, HVAC System Equipment Layouts, HVAC Controls
  • Revit and AutoCAD proficient
  • Working knowledge of COMcheck, Excel, OneNote, Word, etc.
  • Ability to learn and grow professionally
