What you will do:

The New Product Development Engineer will lead and manage entire stage gate process for new products to include development of project Gantt chart, budget, product design and performance specifications, supplier management, prototyping, testing, quality, safety and reliability requirements of the product.

  • Lead new product projects from idea to launch in the field/customer facility.
  • Work in conjunction with multiple departments including engineering, production, sales, finance and marketing.
  • Work directly with the team to develop project costs and project development timelines.
  • Design, purchase, and construct tools and fixtures required on new and existing projects.
  • Lead the prototyping process & determine necessary resources required to ensure customer requirements and delivery schedules are met.
  • Effectively communicate and guide projects through the production launch phase.
  • Conducts necessary technical configuration, testing, verification and validation activities.

What it will take to be successful:

  • Advanced project management experience to include leading multi-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated skills with engineering design tools such as SolidWorks Mechanical, SolidWorks Electrical, and Product Data Management.
  • S. in Mechanical Engineering or other related field of study.
  • Familiarity with mechanical manufacturing, mechanical assembly processes, and/or composites fabrication.
  • Familiarity with mechanical engineering drawings.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks.
  • 3+ years' of direct product or project engineering experience is preferred.
  • Travel can be up to 25% (National & International)
  • Creative, outside the box thinker, process oriented and highly organized. Trustworthy, flexible, ability, Team Oriented.
  • Hands-on individual who can go from design to physically installing parts on the machine to validate design.
