Job Description

This position is accountable for directing, coordinating and providing leadership for all plant functions in order to achieve production goals with-in quality & safety requirements to meet the sales and profitability objectives of the company.

  • Establish, maintain & improve production metrics for all departments and maintain production tracking systems including, but not limited to:
    • OEE
    • Scrap
    • Cost of Quality
    • On Time Delivery
    • Safety
  • Coordinate planning and schedule activities to ensure customer production orders are covered in advance of requirement due date.
  • Liaison with all applicable departments to minimize any disruptions to production plan.
  • Monitor daily production performance and work with department leadership to ensure correction actions are taken when necessary to meet production goals.
  • Audit process compliance to work standards and enforce quality control programs.
  • Assist with problem solving activities to improve areas of deficiency to performance metrics in all plant functions.
  • Monitor associates compliance to company policies and work standards.
  • Oversee production launch activities for all assigned departments.
  • Coach and counsel direct reports on department and personal performance.
  • Support continuous improvement activities through coaching of team members, assignment of personnel to support kaizen events or quality circles and as a cross-functional team member.
  • Participate in and support cost savings program to ensure corporate objectives are met.


  • This position is responsible for the Manufacturing and Maintenance Departments for the Plant.

  • Plastics manufacturing experience is required.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to effectively delegate work to subordinates and the ability to evaluate and positively influence performance.
  • Must be able to work in both individual and team environments.
  • Must be self motivated and goal driven.
  • Competent with computer software such as IQMS (or similar MRP software), Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, MS Access, and Microsoft Outlook.


*Bachelor's degree in a business related field or a minimum of five to ten years related experience and/or training in manufacturing operations or equivalent combination of education and experience. A Master's degree in a business related field is preferred. Plastics manufacturing experience is required.


Ability to write reports and business correspondence; ability to effectively read and interpret blue prints; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from individuals, groups of associates, or management representatives, suppliers and customers. Ability to use computerized applications to summarize production status or activities and e-mail systems in the day-to-day functions of the job.

Requires analytical and problem solving knowledge, ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is occasionally exposed to fumes, chemicals and outside weather conditions. Exposure to extreme heat or cold may be encountered. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.

Work will typically be from eight to ten hours per day, five days a week, with occasional travel, by car or commercial aircraft, for external meetings with customers. Must also be available as needed on evenings/weekends.
