Job Description:
Production Manager will be responsible for leading, organizing, and training Production employees using metrics via Continuous Improvement Methodology and Lean Manufacturing.

The Production Manager will perform Leadership role providing support, coaching, and direction to the Manufacturing work team for the appropriate shift
The Production Manager will provide the Business and Technical Leadership necessary to meet or exceed metrics in Safety, Quality, Customer Service, and Cost Management.
Establish and sustain effective relationships with all employees in order to foster an environment of problem solving and continuous improvement.
Facilitate effective sharing of information across work teams, business areas, and functional areas.
Ensure policies and procedures are being followed in a consistent manner.
Report production on a daily basis.
Write procedures and SOP's and is instrumental in the implementation and training of the procedures, both new and existing.
Responsible for quality and quantity of production output, and employee training, and skills assessment/development.
Interface in Collaboration with Quality Control, Accounting, Marketing, and R&D departments.
Ensure plant personnel practice safe work habits and follow safety rules.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of the position
Experience managing Continuous Improvement through manufacturing metrics (PROBLEM SOLVING[sRCA],MES/5S/OEE/LEAN MANUFACTURING)
Knowledge and Experience with Food Production Equipment.
Experience in food and/or consumer products environment.
Advanced knowledge of GMP/HACCP
Abilities for the position

Able to work 1 st , 2 nd or 3 rd shift

Decision Making/ Problem Solving:
Manage/adjust plant operations and schedules to ensure the most effective use of personnel, materials, equipment and other company resources.
Develop, coordinate and implement activities, processes and standards to maintain and improve safety, quality, delivery and cost.
Monitor and correct employee actions or behaviors to ensure adherence with required Company policies, procedures, systems and rules.

Degree or equivalent experience: Bachelor's degree OR a High School Diploma/GED and at least ten years of production supervisory experience in a manufacturing plant
