Job Description

A very well-established Engineering Firm is actively seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, self-directed Professional Land Surveyor to join their growing team! The ideal candidate would have a desire to support their current staff and help grow their office.

Required Experience:

  • A degree in surveying, civil engineering technology, or related degree
  • 4+ years of survey experience required
  • Ability to use line coding systems
  • Knowledge of public land survey system, AutoCAD experience, good computer skills, ability to research survey issues, with good working knowledge of GPS, total stations and data collection.
  • Professional Land Surveyor or Certified Survey Technician required
  • Attention to detail and strong communication skills

Skills & Responsibilities:

  • The Professional Land Surveyor will be working on a wide variety of projects, primarily site development, but also civil design site work, including grading, erosion control, utilities, parking lots and roads
  • Assist in the preparation of all data including charts, plots, maps, records any other documents related to surveying
  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of survey equipment used on job site and assist with training others when practical
  • Prepare field drawings and high quality notes of each project in the field book in accordance with company and general survey standards
