Job Description

Mechanic/Pump Technician

Seeking a mechanics with API Pump Experience.

  • Pump Service Technicians will be required to repair, fabricate, install and remove a variety of centrifugal, gear, diaphragm, compressors, reciprocating pumps and related rotating equipment
  • Pump removals and installations
  • Rebuilding pumps in the field
  • New base installations
  • New equipment startups
  • Rotating equipment alignments
  • Shop rebuilds
  • Troubleshooting all rotating equipment and controls
  • Will conform to all customer safety regulations as well as safety protocols and fill out all onsite and in-house paperwork in a timely manner

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Wide range of knowledge with most rotating equipment
  • Laser alignment equipment and vibration analysis experience
  • Familiar with new installs and some system experience
  • Physically able to lift up pumps up to 100 lbs.
  • Must be able to work unsupervised/Self-Motivated
  • Must have a clear driving record and be able to obtain DOT medical card
  • Must provide basic hand tools and air tools
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints
  • Ability to read Micrometers/calipers
  • Machining and basic welding skills a Plus
  • Need to be able to be on call for service
  • Basic electrical skills are a plus
