Role and Responsibilities

~~Essential Functions

1. Support the overall strategy of continuous improvement for companies Environmental Health and Safety Initiatives. Provide support and guidance for Environmental and Safety Department including people, data, systems and reporting responsibilities.
2. Support Safety Programs; support the development of the strategy, policies, goals and objectives for companies various Safety programs.
3. Develop and maintain metrics for all aspects of hte safety program.
4. Provide technical expertise and support for all companies facilities, on regulatory compliance issues in Safety and Environmental Health.
5. Understand the chemicals and potential safety and environmental hazards at sites, support steps to reduce the use of problematic chemicals and to mitigate any potential safety and environmental health hazards.
6. Coordinate the development of training modules for the work force to ensure proper education for a safe work environment.
7. Create and maintain program management systems to ensure that companies Safety and
Environmental programs and compliance efforts are followed and continuously improved.
8. Provide effective communications to ensure a common message and employee knowledge of companies various policies, initiatives, and activities related to Safety and Environmental programs.
9. Support compliance of companies Environmental Programs including PSM/RMP, as needed.
11. Support the development of the strategy, policies, goals and objectives for companies various Safety programs.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

~~1. Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Safety & Health, EH&S Management, or a related field required.

2. Minimum 3 years of experience within Environmental Health and Safety compliance.
3. Leadership and teamwork skills with demonstrated abilities to work collaboratively.
4. Demonstrated proficiency with office automation/communication software and tools used in the companies office environment.
5. Highly effective written and verbal communications skills that can used with people of various backgrounds, experience, and education levels.
6. Interpersonal communications skills and cultural sensitivity.
7. Demonstrated effective platform presentation skills and training delivery skills.
8. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
