Senior Credit Analyst in St. Louis at GPAC

Job Description

We recently partnered with a reputable financial institution in St. Louis. The role is responsible for underwriting, evaluating and monitoring agricultural and commercial loan transactions. The Credit Analyst position is designed to complement the loan department by providing support services including but not limited to; financial spreads, assisting in the write-up of loan presentations, attending loan committee meetings, conducting appraisal reviews, conducting analysis such as cash flow, guarantor, financial, collateral and credit summaries for loan presentations. This position will also be in charge of annual reviews, analyzing extensions and renewals.

Essential Duties:

• Spread and analyze corporate and individual financial statements and tax returns.
• Underwrite new and renewal agricultural and commercial loans.
• Ongoing analysis of customers' financial performance and completion of annual credit relationship reviews.
• Monitor and maintain covenant, borrowing base and financial reporting requirements. Communicate results to appropriate associates and obtain approvals as needed.
• Ensure compliance with Loan Policy, Lending Guidelines and banking laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Formal credit training
• Ability to analyze financial statements in terms of cash flow, debt service, projection and trend analysis
• Strong understanding of the Agricultural Industry
• Strong Communication Skills

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree
• A minimum of 2 years' experience in agricultural commercial credit
