Senior Manager of Manufacturing

Position Overview

Our client is an manufacturing company, who is focused on developing highly efficient manufacturing processes for peptide-base API's at very small to very large scales.

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the personnel, equipment, and processes used to manufacture peptide products according to cGMP principles.
  • Help the team to evaluate, install, test, operate and maintain equipment for manufacturing and in-process testing.
  • Review, approve and draft documentation in support of the manufacturing process. This includes batch records, investigations/deviations, change controls, SOP's and any other supporting documentation.
  • Monitor compliance of maintenance and cleaning procedures for equipment and instruments used in GMP processes.
  • Recruit/Train new employees. Organize process development and cGMP manufacturing. Counsel subordinates for the purpose of developing a productive work ethic.
  • Control and monitor cost associated with manufacturing.
  • Manage and monitor the inventory of raw materials and supplies used in manufacturing
  • Coordinate and facilitate activities with all support functions (QC, QA, HR, Facilities, etc) that directly relate to the manufacturing organization.
  • Must be willing to manage shifts and weekends as necessary.
  • These responsibilities may change based on the business demand and company's organizational needs.

Job Requirements

  • At least 10 years cGMP manufacturing experience.
  • Drug Substance or API experience required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication are required.
  • Must demonstrate critical thinking skills often acquired through troubleshooting.
  • Must be able to wear safety shoes & glasses throughout the day while in designated areas. (provided by the company)
  • Must be cleared by a physician to wear a respirator throughout the day while in designated areas. This is a condition of employment required for the above position.
  • You must be able to work in a chemical environment.
