STRUCTURAL ENGINEER

We have partnered with an exceptional Engineering and Environmental Consulting Firm that needs a 5-10 year licensed Structural Engineering Professional to work as part of a strong Structural Engineering Department working on projects with a broad range in size, location, and complexity.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Experience with the design and detailing of reinforced concrete, structural steel, masonry and wood framing systems.
  • Proficiency in structural steel and masonry building design.
  • Experience with proposal scope and budget development for structural projects.
  • Experience with condition assessments of existing buildings and structures.
  • Experience with shop drawing review and structural inspection during construction.
  • Experience with STAAD and/or other structural analysis software.
  • Competence with applicable building codes (IBC, IEBC, ACI, ASCE, AISC, NDS, OSHA, etc.).
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Desire and ability to work as part of a structural team while coordinating with multiple disciplines.
  • Serving as EOR for multiple projects.

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE:

  • BS Civil/Structural Engineering; MS Degree a plus
  • Must possess a PE license or have the ability to obtain within six months of employment.
  • NCEES and multiple registrations desireable.
  • Familiarity with design utilizing various engineering software such as ETABS, STAAD, SAFE, ADAPT, and RAM.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5-10 years of continuous experience
  • Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Demonstrate a strong knowledge about the respective engineering discipline.
  • Experience with computer software applications
  • An articulate and persuasive communicator, both one-on-one and in front of large groups, including clients and regulatory agencies.
