Senior Financial Analyst


The Senior Financial Analyst (FA) position is an important financial role within our company providing a challenging opportunity with competitive compensation and potential for professional and financial growth.

Essential functions include assisting employers and our internal consulting team in developing benefit strategies to meet client goals and objectives. Key responsibilities include data analysis, renewal claim projections, drafting client reports, RFP development and marketing analysis.

  • Develops and assists in the execution of client RFPs
  • Compiles and analyzes bid results and follows up with insurance carriers
  • Assists in management of the competitive bid process
  • Performs analysis of, and negotiates insurance renewals in the best interest of the client
  • Develops rate and financial spreadsheets
  • Proactively conducts research/applies benchmarking and financial analytics to client deliverables
  • Attends Consultant and Vendor meetings and participates in internal and external training(s)
  • Reviews SPDs/contracts post implementation for technical accuracy

Guidance/Peer Review

  • Works autonomous under moderate supervision
  • All outgoing client deliverables accurate and peer reviewed
  • Asks any and all questions. Identifies opportunities for efficiency


  • Responsible for managing components of project (tasks)
  • Accountable for assigned work product
  • Accountable for meeting internal deadlines
  • Fully support the Client Consultants
  • Strong communication skills, organized, prioritizes workload
  • Assists in the annual project management of all assigned clients

Client Interaction

  • Attends client meetings/conference calls regularly with team members
  • Direct interaction with clients on day to day questions

New Business

  • Ability to participate in new business development; no annual sales requirement/quota


  • 5+ years' experience in employee benefits (carrier, TPA, brokerage or equivalent background preferred)
  • Required to obtain the New York Life and Health License within 6 months of hire
  • CEBS designation and advanced certifications supported by Cambridge
