Job Description

We are currently working with an industry leading company that is looking for an experienced Sustaining Engineering Manager in the Medical Device Industry. This company has been around for over 35 years and is continually growing. They have experienced record revenue consistently over the last 4 years. They have a close knit engineering group looking to add someone to their team. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leads and motivates Sustaining Engineering team whose primary responsibility is to define, implement, and improve product design
  • Support and assist Engineering/R&D new product development/implementation projects
  • Triage corporate priorities, goals, and project lead times alongside company executives and mid-management
  • Monitor quality of engineering drawings, BOM's and routers
  • Evaluate and resolve causes of manufacturing yield and quality problems through structure problem solving
  • Examine methods to reduce product cost while improving product quality
  • Oversee production tooling design, control, implementation, and maintenance
  • Oversee product validation including protocol/report writing, execution, and maintenance of released products
  • Interface directly with production personnel and team members

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Biomedical Engineering
  • Minimum fo 5-10 years' experience as a Manufacturing or Design Engineer in the medical device or other highly regulated industry
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a functional role utilizing project management
  • Experience with Design for Assembly and Design for Manufacturing techniques
  • Proficient in 3D modeling through PTC Creo Software or Solidworks, and Advanced Computer Aided Design abilities
  • Experience with FDA/ISO 13485 processes and procedures including implementation and audits and direct experience in product and process validation

Compensation:

  • $82,000 - $92,000 DOE
  • Excellent benefits package
