We are searching for a MONOLINE Workers' Compensation underwriter with three years (minimum) experience of writing workers compensation insurance- large accounts- and large deductible.

This is not a training position. We are looking for an EXPERIENCED Monoline Workers Compensation Underwriter.

As a workers' compensation monoline underwriter, you will work to manage a book of business in conjunction with our corporate goals and strategy. You will build relationships by effectively communicating and negotiating with agents and insureds.

Responsibilities include underwriting WORKERS' COMPENSATION accounts by analyzing and evaluating risk, conducting agency visits, and working with other functional areas to develop service plans that are aligned with corporate goals.

Knowledge and Skills Required:


  • Education and Experience
    • Business or Related Degree Preferred
    • 3 or More Years of Previous underwriting and/or workers compensation experience
  • Knowledge and Skills
    • Knowledge and Understanding of workers' compensation principles, NCCI guidelines, and state workers compensation statutes
    • Effective utilization of pricing tools such as loss sensitive rating plans, dividends, large and small deductibles, and the associated credit risk
    • Professional presentation skills in person, web conferencing, or over the phone
  • Certifications/Licenses
    • Valid driver's license and insurance
    • Professional insurance designation is preferred.
