The successful Sales Executive will build, develop, and manage a customer base of outside sales. for cultivating and growing partnerships with shipping customers.

 The Sales Executive will prospect, close and manage new truckload opportunities primarily for the Logistics division of the company in British Columbia and Alberta, Canada. These services are for an asset-based truckload services utilizing our network of trucking partners throughout western Canada including British Columbia & Alberta. You will develop a sales plan and successfully execute that plan to hit target sales goals.


  • Knowledge in Freight Carrier services
  • FTL, LTL, Drayage, Reefer, etc. in Freight/Trucking Transportation
  • "Hunt" outside sales needing transportation for their freight
  • Develop sales and account management strategies
  • Directly engaging in the sales process (early stages of branch development) as well as being the primary driver of the sales process
  • Communicate confidently and professionally with a variety of external customers
  • Maintain and leverage an advanced knowledge of the freight market and act as a trusted advisor to prospects and customers
  • Know what sets us apart
  • Understand customer needs and do best to deliver
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales target

 Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge in FLT, F2L, Cold carrier, drayage, reefer, etc.
  • Personable, friendly, able to build rapport quickly and efficiently
  • Bring a successful book of business
  • Verticles in Ports & Rails, Food & Beverage, Grocery, Medical, and/or construction materials
  • 2 years outside sales experience with emphasis in success with prospecting and closing
  • Knowledge of how to develop client-focused, differentiated and achievable solutions
  • Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspect of our services
  • Comfortable cross-selling full suite of our solutions to customers and prospects
  • Excellent negotiating skills
  • Direct truckload sales experience

 Preferred qualifications:

  • Prior experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Training in Negotiation, Time Management, Public Speaking, or other areas are valuable
  • Preferred, not required -- Bachelor's degree (Business, Management, Marketing, Sales)
  • Experience and working knowledge of CRM systems
  • Demonstrable track record of over-achieving quota
