The role of the Maintenance Manager is to build, maintain, test, and repair all equipment as related to mechanics, food product, ammonia, high pressure boilers, and packaging equipment. The selected professional may also work with PLC-related automated production systems.

This position will be held accountable for a variety of tasks related to maintenance, programming of equipment, and preventative maintenance on equipment as necessary. Responsibilities include doing preventative maintenance on extrusion equipment, maintaining supplies and spare parts as necessary, developing robotic programs as necessary, and investigating as well as recommending solutions for production problems in assigned work cells.

Maintenance Technician Essential Responsibilities:

  • Rebuilds and constructs equipment as necessary
  • Investigates and recommends solutions for production problems in selected work cells
  • Responsible to fill in as Production Supervisor when needed
  • Interaction with quality, engineering, and maintenance teams to accomplish organizational goals
  • Provides technical support for work cell and automated equipment
  • Experience contributing as an active team member
  • Ability to be proactive and communicate with all levels of management
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service with both internal and external customers

Maintenance Technician Education/Experience:

  • 2 year degree in a technical field preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Maintenance, Programming and Troubleshooting
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to lead and interface effectively with other engineering staff of a multi-disciplined team, including strong interpersonal and team skills
  • Ability to plan and manage while maintaining deadlines
  • Solid foundational mathematical skills and language skills
  • Must be able to regularly stand and be active as related to job tasks
