Job Description

I am currently working with a well-established firm in the Philadelphia area, mainly focusing on commercial, residential, and healthcare.

The Project Architect manages the project team and assures that schematic design and construction documents for assigned projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and without significant errors.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Coordinate and produce schematic design documents for assigned projects.
  • Coordinate and produce construction documents for assigned projects.
  • Attend and/or lead all office project-related meetings as necessary or as directed. Attend and/or lead client meetings, occasionally including out-of-state and/or overnight travel, as needed by clients or as directed.
  • Promote and enforce all department standards and procedures.
  • Work with other departments of both companies to resolve outstanding issues and assure that work is performed in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Promote and support the Company's Accident Prevention and Safety and Health Programs.
  • Demonstrate the highest standards of ethical behavior and support the Company's Business Ethics and Conduct Policy.
  • Assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills

Educational/Professional Requirements:

  • Professional licensure required.
  • Professional degree in architecture from an NAAB-accredited college or university preferred.
  • NCARB certification preferred.
Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of five (5) years experience having full project responsibility for coordination of all the working trades.
  • Must be proficient in use of Microsoft Windows and related Microsoft Office software.
  • Must be proficient in the use of Revit and/or AutoCAD software.
Additional Skills:

  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities and projects.
  • Must be able to tactfully deal with diverse groups of people including professionals, trade workers, and contractors.
  • Must maintain the highest standards of ethics and professionalism.
  • Must be able to operate a Company vehicle and possess and maintain a valid state driver's license. Must meet all vehicle operation requirements as designated by federal and/or state law.
