Sales Engineer Responsibilities:

  • While doing telephone or email contact with the customers, this individual will need to grow the revenue from the original customer base
  • Will be required to do initial equipment installation to ensure the customer has good knowledge of the equipment
  • Troubleshoot production floor issues effectively and timely.
  • Write up the call report and also the progress that was made with the sale of the company product, while learning how to stay above the competitor by gathering information of the market
  • Learn where and when the companies product needs to be installed
  • Create annual territory sales with often updates on projects and sales

Sales Engineer Education/Experience:

  • Bachelors degree with 5-10 years experience with project, process, manufacturing or an operations engineer
  • An additional 5-10 years of experience in sales/business. This could include being a technical salesman but would also consider other engineering roles such as applications or service engineer
  • Need to be willing to be on the road 40-50% of the time, with occasional international trips each year
  • Excellent communication skills with internal and external customers
  • Knowledge of current compliance and regulatory laws
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Compensation:

  • $91,000 - $102,000 DOE
  • 1/4% bonus of salary per year
