Summary of Position: Supply Chain Manager

This role will direct the organization's overall supply chain operations. Which includes, but not limited to: purchasing and inventory of materials, selection of vendors, and distribution of goods. Evaluates past performance data to forecast needs and manage demand. Develops strategic plans to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency.

  • Lead the development of the strategies and objectives of the supply chain organization to create best-in-class customer satisfaction.
  • Create, implement and manage all processes related to sourcing, procurement, warehousing, logistics, supplier performance and inventory control.
  • Work with the sales/customer service organization to ensure that sales order entry properly translates the needs of the customer into accurate internal order information for the purpose of generating planning and material requirements.
  • Manage the planning/logistics and procurement activity of the buyers and planners to provide timely material support, while at the same time maximizing inventory turns and meeting financial objectives.
  • Ensure proper and complete flow-down of customer requirements to the supply base.
  • Leverage key vendor partnerships to deliver customized solutions that add value and differentiate from the competition.
  • Develop a responsive base of supplier partners that deliver cost effective, on-time delivery of quality material.
  • Utilize lean tools, scorecards and performance metrics to drive improvement across the entire supply chain.
  • Develop a team of supply chain professionals that are responsive, customer-focused and consistently deliver lowest "total" cost.
  • Manage the supplier quality and delivery programs and ensure they are compliant to all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with the approved and applicable US Government sourcing and procurement procedures.

Requirements: Supply Chain Manager

  • 5+ years of supply chain experience
  • 5+ years of leadership/management experience
  • Ability to be strategic and create a vision and organizational structure to support growth objectives through a holistic approach to supply chain across multiple business units.
  • Formal training and demonstrated proficiency in continuous improvement/Lean supply chain.
  • Experienced in strategic sourcing and logistics management, both domestic and international.
  • Must possess strong analytical, systems and computer skills.
