VP Commercial Relationship Manager

Our client is seeking to fill a Vice President - Commercial Relationship Manager (possible Team Lead) role. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing C&I, CRE loan portfolios to achieve stated goals and objectives for the profitable expansion of all lending services.

Vice-President - Commercial Relationship Manager responsibilities include:

  • Growing and maintaining a commercial loan portfolio which conforms to the credit quality standards of the bank.
  • Developing relationships with customers and serving as a resource for their banking needs.
  • Working with outside sources of commercial loan referrals.
  • Cross-selling of the Bank's lending, depository and Treasury Management products to new and existing bank clients.
  • Evaluating loan requests, analyzing financial data, and determining qualification of collateral and credit history.
  • Developing and maintaining knowledge of internal, regulatory, and commercial guidelines.
  • Analyzing applicant financial status and credit to determine feasibility of granting loans.
  • Verifies loan agreements are complete and accurate according to policy.
  • Participate in community and business functions/groups to ensure a positive image for the bank within the regions marketplace. Establish referral contacts within the community.

You also bring the following skills and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in business or a related field required.
  • Five or more years of commercial lending experience.
  • Must be able to analyze financial data; calculate figures, accumulate and organize readily available factual data from multiple sources, following established policies and methods; and to modify, translate and summarize data for analysis by others.
  • Demonstrated ability to make commercial loans that conform to credit quality standards.
  • Consultative sales skills (i.e. listening and questioning, negotiating, closing and networking).
  • Advanced analytical skills.
  • Advanced PC and spreadsheet skills (Excel preferred).
