Our Production Manager is responsible for managing and directing manufacturing activities across the operation to ensure meeting plant objectives for safety, production, quality, efficiency and delivery.  Responsible for driving plant KPIs  and directing activities that ensure proper production flow and inventory management across all departments. Motivate and engage production management team and hourly employees to further develop key skill sets and drive improved performance across the operation!

Qualifications: 

  • Degree in operations, engineering, business or textile-related specialty OR equivalent successful work experience.


  • 10 years of successful and diversified experience in manufacturing with increasing levels of responsibility.  Knowledge of textile manufacturing is a plus.


  • Demonstrated ability to direct and motivate employees and management teams; proven success in sustained change management.


  • Comprehensive knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and process improvement systems; demonstrated success using CI tools and motivating employees to sustained, improved performance.


  • Ability to monitor, track and interpret data and analyze to identify trends and operational areas of opportunity.


  • Strong analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills and able to identify and implement process improvements.


What else will you do?

  • Maintain adequate controls over production, quality and inventories so that products are manufactured to specifications at the lowest cost consistent with established budgets and forecasts.


  • Continually seek to lower production costs by setting production standards and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.


  • Maintain a safety culture that motivates employees to follow safe work practices and ensures the safety and health of all employees.


  • Manage plant inventory levels to support production and delivery goals and remain in line with business objectives and division inventory goals.


  • Work closely with maintenance services to optimize production capabilities, minimize downtime and maximize cost effectiveness of supply and repair cost and utility costs.


  • Participate in the development of new and improved products.


  • Stay abreast of manufacturing innovations and trends in manufacturing for application at the plant.  Recommend changes from a manufacturing standpoint that drive improved production, cost, quality and safety.


  • Develop manufacturing management to maintain the highest levels of employee engagement and technical expertise.  Work closely with plant manager and HR manager to identify skills gaps and develop training and development opportunities to elevate the leadership across all levels of manufacturing management.


  • Work closely with process improvement and quality resources to ensure best practices and identify areas for improvement and standard work implementation.


  • Responsible for driving key KPIs to include production, quality, waste, on-time delivery, turnover, retention and safety.
